Targeted rodent control for mice and rats — designed to find where they’re getting in, where they’re nesting, and how to stop ongoing activity before it becomes a bigger problem. What To Expect From NextGen Pest Control
From the first visit, we focus on finding where rodents are active, reducing the current problem, and helping you prevent new ones. We’ll walk the property with you, check the key areas where mice and rats like to hide and travel, place the right traps or stations, and explain what we’re seeing in simple terms so you know exactly what’s happening and what comes next.
Note: This Rodent Defense service is designed specifically for mice and rats, with a focus on inspection, targeted control, and clear recommendations for sealing entry points. Major repairs, full exclusion projects, and wildlife work may be quoted separately or referred out.
NextGen Rodent Defense Service — How Does It Work?
Inspect & Detect
is where your Rodent Defense service starts. We focus on finding where mice and rats are active, how they’re getting in, and what’s helping them stick around. This step gives us a clear picture of the problem before we set any traps or stations.
- Full walkthrough inside and outside your home, looking for droppings, gnaw marks, rub marks, nesting material, and odor clues.
- Entry point check at common access spots like garage doors, utility lines, foundation gaps, doors, and vents.
- Focus on high-activity zones such as kitchens, pantries, basements, attics, storage areas, and along walls where rodents like to travel.
- Rodent identification so we know if you’re dealing with mice, rats, or both and can choose the right control strategy.
- Condition report noting food, water, and clutter issues that may be attracting or supporting rodent activity.
Treat & Protect
Treat & Protect is where we put the plan into action—using carefully placed traps and bait stations to knock down current rodent activity while protecting the areas where you live, work, and store food.
- Strategic placement of traps and/or bait stations in safe, targeted locations based on where rodents are traveling and nesting.
- Interior focus along walls, behind appliances, in utility areas, and other protected spots where rodents actually move.
- Exterior support where appropriate, placing stations outside to reduce pressure before rodents make it inside.
- Product selection designed for effective control while keeping people and pets in mind.
- Clear service plan outlining how many follow-up visits you’ll need to reduce activity and confirm results.
Defend & Support
Defend & Support is all about keeping rodents from coming back, with follow-up checks, prevention tips, and clear guidance on sealing entry points so your home stays protected long after the first visit.
- Follow-up checks to inspect all devices, remove captures, rebait or reset as needed, and track progress over time.
- Entry point guidance so you know which gaps, cracks, and openings should be sealed to prevent new rodents from getting in.
- Prevention tips for storage, food management, and clutter reduction to make your home less inviting to rodents.
- Next steps if rodent pressure stays high, including ongoing maintenance options or pairing Rodent Defense with a broader pest plan.
- Clear communication after each visit so you know what we found, what we did, and what we recommend next.
